Parga is a large picturesque village known for its natural environment.
It has an island character, rich and eventful history, rare physical beauty, interlaced beaches, emerald sea, calm bays, olive groves, healthy climate, romantic side streets and pathways with two or three-story houses forming an amphitheater under imposing remains of a Venetian castle.
Walking in the narrow streets takes you up to the castle. Enjoy the amazing view of town and bay. Free time in Parga 3 hours.
Later we go through Acherontas river valley and arrive in Glyki village.
Acherontas in ancient Greek mythology was known as the “river of woe”, and was one of the five rivers of the Greek underworld. The newly dead would be ferried across the Acheron by Charon in order to enter the Underworld.
