Forecast for storm boost with winds up to 120 kilometers per hour
A storm caused a crash today in air traffic at Amsterdam's Sipchol airport, with many flights being canceled or delayed.
Airline passengers have canceled 176 of the total of at least 1,200 inbound and outbound flights this morning, a spokesman for the Dutch National Airport said.
The number of canceled flights is expected to increase as the storm will increase during the day with winds up to 120 km / h.
The airport also announced that flights that were not canceled had an average delay of one hour.
Siphol is Europe's third busiest airport in annual total passenger numbers after London Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
